Martine Mahoudeau

Martine Mahoudeau has a rich life with international experiences. Born in France, she attended in Paris the “École des Arts Décoratifs” and the “Atelier des Arts Appliqués”, and later the “École des Arts et Métiers” in Vevey, Switzerland. She has traveled to many parts of the world, and has lived also in England, Spain, and Switzerland before moving to California in 1982 with her husband and 3 children. Martine uses her creativity and skills to reveal the essence and soul hidden within everyday life situations, common objects, and the human psyche. She works with acrylics and watercolors to explore figurative, as well as abstract and semi-abstract forms, to realize a variety of colorful and vibrant paintings. In addition to acrylics and watercolors, she is also experimenting with monoprints, block-printing, and clay. Each of these mediums is beautiful and has its own laws that Martine finds are greatly enriching her creativity, sense of perception, and skills, in addition to her international experiences.  Artist Website: LINK
